Nursery

Your little one is going to love our Nursery – it is a warm and loving place to be. Your baby will be loved on and cared for while having a great time learning about God and connecting with other young children. We want you to be able to relax and focus on your time at worship, knowing that your child is having fun and learning in a safe and secure environment.

Due to our current safety procedures, nursery tours are scheduled in advance. Please contact us, and we’ll be happy to schedule your family’s tour.

Do you have a new addition to your family?

Please take a moment to let us know by emailing Chante Crowder for our Sharpsburg Campus or Morgan Johnston for our Thomas Crossroads Campus. We would love to celebrate with you by sending you a gift. We will also update your family’s record so that your little one will be ready for his/her first day in the nursery. Once your record is updated, you will begin to receive news regarding the nursery, our Dedicate class, baby dedication, and other events. Preschool

As each child enters Crossroads Kids, we aim to partner with parents to instill three main truths in their children. We call these truths our “Bottom Line.”

These are great foundations for children to have in their hearts as they become the next generation of Christ followers.

We are committed to giving preschoolers a place where they can worship like preschoolers! Their services are held at the same time as adult services each weekend. Children may be checked in 15 minutes prior to each service.

Our high energy environment includes large group and small group teaching. Large group may consist of creative storytelling, drama, video, and music. In small group they participate in fun, interactive activities to help them apply what was taught in large group. For more information on our preschool ministry, please contact Chante Crowder.

Elementary

Crossroads Kids believes in the “Orange” strategy. The church is the light of the world (YELLOW), and the heart of the home is RED. When they are combined together they create ORANGE. Together, they have the potential to make a greater impact on the next generation of Christ followers. Crossroads Kids approaches ministry with the end in mind. Before each child leaves our ministry we want them to know the HIGH 5s:

   God sent Jesus to give me life!

    God’s Word is true!

    God loves me know matter what!

    I need to love others the way God loves me!

    I need to make the wise choice!

We strive to provide children with a worship experience on their level. Their services are held at the same time as adult services each weekend. Children will learn about God’s Word through a large group time including music, drama, video, and creative Bible stories. They will also participate in a small group time to follow up on the large group message.

We want you to be able to relax, knowing that your child is having fun and learning in a safe and secure environment. All of our adult volunteers are screened with background checks. Each classroom is staffed with at least two volunteers. Children’s classrooms open 15 minutes before each service.

Welcome to UNLIMITED, our Special Needs Ministry! Crossroads Church strives to provide a place where all families in our community can come experience the love and acceptance that Jesus Christ has to offer. We offer an adaptable worship experience for your child. Our prayer is that your child and you will both be able to enjoy a meaningful worship experience and have a personal relationship with Christ.

When? UNLIMITED services are offered Sunday mornings and check in opens 15 minutes before.

Where?  We meet at our Sharpsburg Campus in Studio 4.

We offer three types of environments for your child. In order to make this a positive experience, we would like to partner with you to help find the right learning environment for your child. We want your child to be safe and experience spiritual growth.

• Typical Studios: These studios provide a high-energy learning environment with large group worship, teaching and small group break outs.

• Sensory Studio 4: This studio provides a flexible, fun and adaptable environment with a little less stimulation than found in a typical studio. This studio uses a separate curriculum called “Play & Worship” that includes a Bible lesson, music, art and activities. The curriculum provides plenty of repetition for learning as each lesson is taught over a five week span. 

• A Blend: This may be an option if your child would do well experiencing a little bit of both environments. We will work with you to determine what blend would be best for your child.

Every student in UNLIMITED will be paired 1:1 with a trained buddy. All volunteers in our ministry are required to complete a background check.

**If at all possible, we ask families to contact us prior to visiting UNLIMITED so that we may ensure we have a buddy ready for your child.

Baby Dedication

CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of your new baby! In the midst of all that is changing in your home with the addition of your newest family member, we invite you to take a moment to focus on what really matters most.

Dedicate is an opportunity for new parents to present their child to the Lord and make public their commitment to teach their child the truths of the Christian faith, to set a Christian example before them, to bring their child up in the instruction and discipline of the Lord, and to encourage their child to accept Christ as his or her Savior under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

To accomplish this, parents must dedicate time, love, attention, and so much more. No one will have more influence on your child than YOU! It is our hope that we can partner with you from the very beginning. We want to be your biggest fans, your strongest supporters, and your trusted guides as you raise your child to know what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Dedicate is more than a baby dedication event and is not an infant baptism. We believe that when people are old enough to understand what it means to put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, they should have the opportunity to make that choice for themselves. A preschooler may not be able to understand sin, forgiveness, the sacrifice our Savior made for us, and what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Dedicate is both the opportunity for you to take some time at the beginning of your journey as a parent to really think about what will matter the most in the life of your child; to really talk together and decide what you value and what you can do today that will have the greatest impact on your child’s future and a celebration of your commitment. We are excited to be a part of your family’s spiritual growth and are honored to be a part of this special time in your life.

Parents must attend a Dedicate class in order to participate in the Dedication Celebration. Dedication Celebrations are held three times a year.
